Music teacher qualifications: Peter Winter has been teaching music for over 30 years and holds a Victorian Institute Of Teachers registration. For guitar lessons he focuses on a classical style, making sure all students have a sound background because a lot of guitar teachers cannot read music. Piano styles include classical, jazz and modern. Music styles and teaching techniques: Peter’s music techniques are very flexible, adapting his style of teaching to what is required by the student. He teaches children from the ages of 4 right through to retired adults. Age range and music grades Peter teaches: Peter teaches up to Grade 8 and also teaches VCE Music to support Music students sitting those grades. He has taught privately around 1000 students and has 100% pass rate with those students also. Helping music students to pass their exams: Peter has an amazingly successful pass rate of 100% for approximately 500 Music students who have sat for their exams over the years. Experience in teaching piano and guitar: As a classroom music specialist Peter has taught in various schools around Gippsland and also teaches piano, keyboard and guitar in his private music studio in Traralgon.
